The purpose of Leadership for Change! The 2012 Louisiana Education Summit is to bring national leaders to Louisiana to share their successful experiences in transforming public education. We will host a diverse audience from business, government, and educational professionals to engage in a frank conversation about what can be done in Louisiana to improve the quality of education for our children. This day-long event will be held on Monday, January 30, 2012, in Baton Rouge.

Louisiana State Representative Steve Carter of Baton Rouge has brought together the following organizations as Summit partners and organizers: Advance Innovative Education, The Black Alliance for Education Options (BAEO), Blueprint Louisiana, The Council for a Better Louisiana (CABL), The Committee of 100, The Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI), The Louisiana Association of Public Charter Schools, The Louisiana Federation for Children, and Teach For America (TFA).
